ParkSlopeforSudan was created by (the group formerly known as) Sojourners and renamed Social Action Committee. SAC's mission is to explore and act upon the implications of social action and the Gospel. We strive to promote social welfare and humanitarian concerns in Park Slope and around the world.

The goal of ParkSlopeforSudan is to increase awareness in our community of the ongoing genocide in the Darfur region of Sudan in the hopes of putting an end to this tragedy. ParkSlopeforSudan hopes to be a continuing source of information on Darfur, providing links to News, Humanitarian and Cultural sites as well as regular updates on conditions in Darfur, the refugee camps in neighboring Chad and the response of the international community.
